Chez Pim TV

(If you are reading this post on a RSS reader, you might want to click through to Chez Pim for the video.)

My new baby camera, Leica D-Lux-3, has a video mode, so yesterday my friend Beccy and I spent the afternoon playing with it. The result is this silly video here. We had so much fun doing it that we thought we’d share it with you. Mind you, it’s Beccy’s first time holding a video camera, and my first time using iMovie (that’s why the editing looked like it’s done with craft scissors and ducktape.) We winged it, bascially, no script or anything. So, really, don’t expect much.

We shot the whole thing in the sequence it’s shown, so you could see the progression of me getting slightly more comfortable with it, which means you’d only have to put up with me fidgetting like a bunny on crack for just a bit in the beginning. Ha ha.

And if you want a recipe, here it is.

Hey, don’t listen to that first guy. The video was great and not boring in the least. I liked the shots at the store and picking strawberries. It was also fun to have a look at your kitchen, but voyeurism is part of the fun of blogs, right?

    Too cute!
When food bloggers have cooking shows, will they all have a laptop set up in the corner?:-)

A valiant attempt, Pim. I was also very nervous when we shot my first vid (how to cut an onion without crying) but you’ll find it just gets easier with time. I’m sure we’ll see more of your vids soon (minus the crackbunny fidgetting lol)

I am really new to all this. As you will see I added your link to where I write, but after doing so, realized that I hadn’t asked for anyone’s permission as I imagine one should do when one’s adding other people’s blogs. So dear Pim may I add a link to your blog? (I didn’t manage to delete it before asking for permission as there’s noone around for me to ask them how).

Great pics pim. Nice camera – are you happy with it ?. I was tempted by the panasonic equivalent model but reviews were not universally positive so I am on the fence at the moment.

You were charming! You need your own TV show.

Charming video! But strangely, it’s a whole different impression than reading about the finding and fine-tuning of a recipe. Somehow more passive, and not as colorful as the written word. So my vote on video: Not bad, but different…and not as yummy as your words.

You are adorable and I love that top! Would you mind sharing where you got it?

Fun! You are a delight to watch!

That’s “duct tape”, though ducktape is rather appropriate for a food blog…
