I LOVE these shots – food shoved into face!!
Wow, this brings back memories. I went to Jazz Fest 5 straight years during college. It looks like the weather was great – not always a “gae-roan-tee.”
And the shots of food make me wish I had a sausage bread in one hand and a Miller Lite in the other, right now!
Hei, I loved this pictures, when the hunger talk more loud!!
LOL, these are great!
I love the “nobody reads my blog” t-shirt! Plus these pictures are making me want sunshine and food served in a napkin. Yum!
I would recommend the barbecued oysters at Drago’s.
I adore these photos! I’m a born and raised New Orleanian and this is my nineteenth Jazz Fest in a row. Good, classic food tastes infinitely better outside… especially on a weekend like this one! Those happy faces with the crawfish beignets and the po-boys are all too familiar to me. Will you be returning to the Fest next weekend?
These guys are lovin’ what they are eatin’. I want some.
Everbody looks so happy to be eating that I am hungry now. Great photos.
I want that t shirt! Glad you had fun – hope you feel better soon!
wow fantastic and joyfull photos!!!
I’m a culinary food student and it is for those happy, hungry faces that I do it – what joy!
Jazzfest is awesome! I’m glad you liked it. I loved it and vote for Cochon de Lait Poboy as the best dish of the fest!
Sadly, i dont see anyone eating any crawfish bread. My fiance went to Tulane and i would make the trek down from VT (where i went to college) every year for Jazz Fest, Mardi Gras…you name it. By far the best thing was the crawfish bread, not all vendors are created equal, but overall you can’t beat the spicy, cheesy, bready goodness…simply heaven
there is only one thing that helps a very bad cough..narcotic cough syrup with an expectorant!
Sooooooo jealous I didn’t make it this year. Thanks for the pictures to remind me to save for next year.
hey i saw you on NatGeo nice blog!
I’m not sure where the Jazz comes in but I like all the pigging out!
Sure do love that Nawlins food, but hate that southern states are still stuck on styrofoam. Made it hell to get things to go last summer when we did 6,000 miles down there. I asked for foil a lot, and did a lot of splainin’ about eco friendly containers.
LOL! These shots are great
I wish my camera would take pictures at such a high resolution they look amazing, unfortunately all my digital pictures end up being fuzzy and dark not exactly good quality
What a wonderful collection of expressions! Ah, food…the joy of life!
I’m a 17-year-old student come from china.

Those photographs are TRULY amazing.
YOU ARE SUCH AN ASS. I have been DYING for some cochon de lait, or some oyster sack, or some crawfish bread, or anything else from Jazz Fest. And then, you had to go and post these fabulous pictures of people obviously enjoying this fare that I am painfully denied? OMG! DO WANT.
Hi Pim! Congratulations on your lovely book! I just bought it at Central Chidlom today.
No new posts here in over a month ?
Blogs are good for every one where we get lots of information for any topics nice job keep it up !!!
I know. We are all the same when shoving food into our faces. This should be the new United Nations mascot or something…
I’m with you all the way up to Miller Lite. LOL.
If anyone knows that guy please send me his email address. I promised to send him the picture but lost his card!
I wholeheartedly agree. At least a dozen per person – for appetizer, that is.
I didn’t make it to the fest on the second weekend, unfortunately. We had to be in New York for the Beard awards. I’m coming back next year, that’s for sure!
At the fest everyone was luvin what we were eatin’ You should go next year and try some yourself.
That’s New Orleans for you.
Thanks. It’s been weeks since you wrote this and I’m still coughing. Yikes.
Yes, that’s New Orleans for you.
You’re doing it for the right reason then.
You, sir, have the greatest of taste.
I ate the crawfish bread. That was my very first bite at the fest, and what a bite it was.
I’m loaded with them.
Do go next year, I’m going back too!
Da jazz was in da air missy. It’s all around you. The eatin’ was too.
There was a lot of paper container too, actually, but I totally see what you mean. Been there, done that too.
Time to invest in a new one, probably.
Absolutely. You see that a lot in that town.
You can, as long as you credit me that is. That’s got to be a lot of work though.
LOL hey call your doctor for a refill?
You bought the book at Central?? It’s in Thailand already? Wow!
That means I’ve got to send one to my family pronto – or they’ll be miffed at me for sure.
There ya go
And welcome back to your blog.
